In June 2022, we were approached by an existing client who needed a refresh on one of their longest standing websites.

Mervyn, the owner of Parker’s Removals, had seen their existing website’s ranking in search results dip in recent months, which left them with fewer enquiries and overall a less effective online presence. He approached us to give the website a redesign and modernise the functionality, as well as make some structural changes to benefit their SEO.

We discussed how we could overhaul the Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strengths of the website, through employing a clear and simple heading structure, furnishing the site with effective backlinks and laser-focusing on their key phrases for improved organic Click Through Rate (CTR). At the same time, we wanted to drastically improve the website’s UX and overall improve the user journey to maximise the organic traffic filtering through.

We settled on an extremely clean and minimal design, less imagery and more bespoke graphics to complement the new colour way and the personality of the website. We implemented a basic CTA structure, and focused on strategically positioning these across the website in all the most viewed places, enabling drastically quicker enquiries for prospective customers.

The website is brand new and we will continue to maintain and monitor it’s SEO, but Mervyn has already seen a large volume of new enquiries just days into launch.
